Terms of service
These terms cover your use of CallCanvas. They are written in plain language and mean what they say.
Who you are contracting with
CallCanvas is supplied and operated by Stephan Keck, Berne, Switzerland, under these terms. The subscription itself is sold by Paddle as merchant of record — the exact Paddle entity is identified at checkout — and your purchase is also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Accounts
- You must be 18 or older to hold an account.
- One account belongs to one person. Do not share sign-in codes.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email address secure.
- We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms or the law.
Teams and roles
Playbooks belong to a team, not to an individual. The team owner controls the team and may appoint administrators. Administrators manage members; only the owner manages the subscription. A member with view-only rights can read and animate plays but cannot change them.
If you invite someone to your team, you are responsible for making sure they are an adult and that you are entitled to share the playbook content with them.
Your content
The plays, playbooks, and files you upload remain yours. You give us permission to store, process, and display them only to the extent needed to run the service for you and your team — for example, rendering a diagram, producing a PDF, or keeping a backup. We do not claim ownership and we do not use your playbooks to promote the product without asking you first.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload material that infringes someone else's rights, and do not upload another product's proprietary content and present it as your own.
Subscriptions and payment
- A subscription covers one team and everyone in it. $49 / year per team
- Checkout is $0 today and requires a payment method. The full-team trial lasts 14 days, then Paddle charges $49 USD for one year unless you cancel before the trial ends. Tax is included where applicable; the exact total is shown at checkout before you confirm.
- Subscriptions renew annually until canceled, and Paddle emails a reminder before each annual renewal. You may cancel at any time, including every day of the trial, from the clear in-app cancel action or Paddle's authenticated customer portal. A trial cancellation prevents the first $49 charge and leaves access available through the scheduled trial end. Canceling a paid year turns off renewal and leaves full access through the period you paid for. Either way, a 30-day read-only window follows so you can export your work. If you cannot sign in, request cancellation through Paddle Buyer Support or by email to callcanvas@pm.me.
- Promotion code CALL20 is a temporary launch offer redeemable through September 14, 2026 at 23:59 UTC. While active in Paddle, it reduces the first $49 annual payment by 20%, to $39.20. It does not reduce the $0 trial transaction and does not discount later renewals.
- Payment is handled by Paddle. We never see or store your card details.
- Prices may change. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a change affects a renewal, and you may cancel instead.
Refunds and withdrawal
Cancellation and refund/withdrawal are separate. Normal cancellation is available at any time and stops future renewal charges. Paddle is the merchant of record and its current Refund Policy states that consumers in the EU/EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom receive another 14-calendar-day period to exercise an applicable withdrawal right when a free trial ends, subject to eligibility and stated exceptions. Requests go through Paddle Buyer Support and are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, mandatory local law, and the policy version applicable to the transaction. This post-payment route is not a second free trial or a universal money-back guarantee: it reflects Paddle's current policy and may change for future transactions; outside those regions a refund request may be discretionary; and an approved refund ends access. Whatever Paddle's policy says at any given time, your mandatory local consumer rights are unaffected. The 14-day cancel-anytime trial policy still applies. This summary is not legal advice.
What happens if a payment fails
Your playbooks are not deleted. Editing stops, but the team keeps read access for a 7-day grace period so a failed card cannot lock a coach out in the middle of a season, and a cancelled or ended subscription is followed by a 30-day read-only window so the team can export its work. Your content becomes editable again as soon as the subscription resumes.
Availability
We aim to keep CallCanvas running and backed up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, provider outages, and faults happen. Keep your own exports of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Acceptable use
- Do not try to reach another team's data, probe the service for weaknesses without permission, or work around access controls.
- Do not resell access or share one subscription across teams that are not genuinely the same team.
- Do not use the service to store unlawful material.
If you think you have found a security problem, please tell us at callcanvas@pm.me before telling anyone else.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using CallCanvas and permanently delete your account at any time from Account settings. Deleting your account first cancels any Paddle subscription you own; if that cancellation fails, nothing is deleted and nothing further is charged for a deleted account. If you own a team with another active member, you must transfer ownership first; a sole-member team is deleted with its owner's account. The public account deletion page explains the manual route if you cannot sign in. We may end the agreement if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, and will give notice and a chance to export your data unless the law prevents it.
If we shut the service down
If we ever decide to close CallCanvas for good, we will say so by email to every account at least 90 days before the service ends. During that whole notice period the service and the export in Account settings keep working, including for teams whose subscription lapses during it, so no playbook is stranded. Paid time that would fall after the shutdown date is refunded through Paddle, and no renewal is charged once notice has been given.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost games, lost opportunities, or lost data where you had the ability to export it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Switzerland. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
Changes
We will give notice by email before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use CallCanvas after that means you accept the updated terms.
